Energy Private Developers(EPD) Association signed an MOU with African Management Institute(AMI) Rwanda

Rwanda’s industry leaders in the Energy Sector are set to advance their workforce’s professional development as a result of a new partnership announced today between  the Energy Private Developer (EPD) Association and the African Management Institute (AMI) Rwanda. Made possible by the Energy Access Talent Initiative (EATI) Programme funded by UKAID, this partnership will equip leaders and managers within the energy sector in Rwanda with the essential skills and tools to drive growth in their companies.

The purpose of this MoU is to istablish a framework for collaboration between EPD and AMI to: 

  • Support capacity Building, leadership, and professional development for EPD members and stakeholders in the Rwandan energy sector.
  • Provide access to AMI’s learning and development programs as mutually agreed discounted rate for EPD members.
  • Collaborate in joint initiatives to enhance the energy sector’s human capacity in Rwanda.

Serge Wilson Muhizi, CEO of Energy Private Developers, added, “Capacity building and skills enhancement are core focus areas for EPD, this partnership with AMI is a significant step towards strengthening Rwanda’s energy sector. As part of this initiative, EPD members will gain exclusive access to AMI’s Empowering Managers Programme, a practical and results-focused training designed to enhance management capabilities in the energy sector. The programme is tailored to address the unique challenges faced by sector professionals, including effective team supervision, project management, and strategies to manage geographically dispersed teams.
